Client Installation and Setup
- Install Diablo ][ (Full Install ... find the Install disc here).
- Copy the file d2music.mpq off of the Play Disc into the installation directory.
- Install Diablo ][: Lord of Destruction expansion (image is a BIN/CUE).
- Copy d2xmusic.mpq and d2xvideo.mpq off of the Diablo ][: Lord of Destruction disc into the installation directory.
- Install the Diablo ][: Lord of Destruction 1.12a Patch update. Click the [Cancel] button when prompted for the Diablo ][: Lord of Destruction disc. This update, among other things, removes the need to have the CD in the drive.
- Download the D2MultiRes hacked client, and extract the files into the Diablo ][ directory. Replace the Diablo ][: Lord of Destruction desktop icon with a shortcut to D2MultiResGame.exe. The D2MultiRes client will allow you to use any video resolution your system supports, instead of being limited to only 640x480 and 800x600.
- Download the BattleNet Gateway Editor. You'll need this to edit the BattleNet server list to include the Barsoomian Aeyry PvPGN BNetD server IP. The Server IP Address is 70.89.115.155. I would recommend removing all of the official BNet servers from the list if you're going to use the D2MultiRes hacked client or use a keygen. N.B.: This can edit the necessary registry entries for BattleNet server IPs for StarCraft, WarCraft, and Diablo.
